Skokie Community Foundation (SCF) was proud to sponsor two impactful community events this spring!
On May 31, SCF sponsored the Niles Township Fun Run. Organized by Niles Township Government in partnership with The Education Foundation Supporting The Students Of Niles Township, the event raised funds to purchase school supplies for students in need. In addition to the Fun Run, the day also included several area vendors and activities for attendees to enjoy. SCF was proud to not only sponsor, but also participate as a team during the run.
On June 14, SCF sponsored the Skokie Juneteenth Celebration held at Oakton Park. Organized by Skokie United, the celebration included vendor and community tables, games, music, food trucks, and dancing. SCF Board Members, Staff, and volunteers enjoyed meeting community members at the sponsor table, handing out treats and spreading the word about the SCF’s mission to provide grants that support Skokie’s future.
Skokie Community Foundation applauds the work that the Niles Township Government, The Education Foundation Supporting The Students Of Niles Township, and Skokie United put in to organizing these community events.
