Skokie Community Foundation announces the appointment of its new Board of Directors officers for 2023-24. Elections were held at the June 12 board meeting. Ann Tennes (pictured alongside Co-Founder and Treasurer Gene Griffin and Executive Director Jim Szczepaniak) was elected as the new Chair of the SCF Board of Directors. Ann Tennes has served on the SCF Board since 2019. Former Board Chair Zach Williams will now serve as Immediate Past Chair.
We want to thank Zach Williams for his years of leadership and generosity to Skokie Community Foundation. Zach Williams saw SCF through the coronavirus pandemic, spearheaded the creation of the immensely successful Skokie Healthcare Symposium, and grew the SCF endowment by 250% over his three years as Chair. Skokie Community Foundation looks forward to Zach Williams’ continued leadership on the Board of Directors.
Ann Tennes officially began her tenure as Chair on July 1, 2023. She is joined by newly elected officers Dr. Ruben Howard II (Vice Chair), Syed Mahmood (Deputy Vice Chair), and Una McGeough (Secretary) as well as the re-elected officer, Gene Griffin (Treasurer).
