Hot off the press!
In 2022, Skokie Community Foundation granted funds to Out Our Front Door and Emily Oaks Nature Center to create the Youth Unbound Camp, a summer program for students with disabilities and students who would not otherwise receive such opportunities. The program won The Circle of Excellence Award from the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association in 2023.
Out Our Front Door continues to retrofit bicycles and host programs for youth with disabilities around the Chicagoland region. Their success, including the 2022 SCF Grant-funded Youth Unbound Camp, was recently highlighted in Streetsblog Chicago.
