Members of the Rotary Club of Skokie Valley came out on November 8 to help a Skokie neighbor in need. The project, led by Rebuilding Together North Suburban Chicago in partnership with the Village of Skokie Health and Human Services Department, included dismantling a shed and swing set in the backyard and cleaning up an overgrown planting area.
This volunteer opportunity was part of a larger initiative funded by a 2025 Skokie Community Foundation grant. The project provides home repairs free-of-charge to Skokie residents in need, particularly supporting the elderly, residents with disabilities, veterans, and families with children. We’re proud to support this impactful project!
Thank you to Rotary Club of Skokie Valley for volunteering! Our Executive Director Jim Szczepaniak also volunteered and was pleased to connect with SCF grant recipients Bill Plasschaert (Rebuilding Together) and Jennifer Sultz (Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center) during this day of giving back.
