What a delightful morning we had at Will’s Place on Saturday, Nov. 22!
Thank you to Will’s Place for inviting Skokie Community Foundation to be guest baristas for the day! We loved getting to work alongside the incredible staff at Will’s Place (including Will himself). Guest baristas included SCF Executive Director Jim Szczepaniak alongside SCF Board Members Carolyn Anthony, Una McGeough, Bob Quane, Randy Roberts, and George Van Dusen.
Not only that, but Mayor Ann Tennes (former SCF Board Chair) stopped by to say hello! As we recently welcomed former Mayor George Van Dusen to the SCF board, we acknowledge how special it is to have the support of both the current and former Mayors.
We love the sense of community at Will’s Place and feel honored to be part of the Guest Barista program. Creating a program to support job opportunities for adults with disabilities, plus establishing a top-notch breakfast and lunch cafe in Downtown Skokie, Will’s Place truly exemplifies what it means to be on #teamskokie!
